Automotive Labels
Automotive industry labels are high-strength industrial labeling solutions used in vehicle and spare parts manufacturing for product identification, traceability, and safety purposes.
These labels are designed for demanding operating environments such as engine compartments, chassis, electronic modules, battery systems, and interior trim parts. They exhibit resistance to conditions such as high temperatures (–40°C / +150°C and above), oil, fuel, brake fluid, solvent, and chemical exposure.
Characteristics of Automotive Labels
High Temperature Resistance
Labels used in engine compartment and electronics manufacturing processes can be exposed to high temperatures. Therefore, automotive labels must have high temperature resistance.
Chemical and Oil Resistance
Automotive parts can come into contact with oil, fuel, and various chemicals during production and use. Labels must be resistant to these chemicals.
UV and Outdoor Resistance
Labels used on vehicle exteriors or in open areas are exposed to sunlight and outdoor conditions. UV-resistant labels maintain their color and print quality for a long time.
Strong Adhesive Performance
Automotive labels need to adhere strongly to various surfaces, including metal, plastic, and painted surfaces. Industrial acrylic adhesives provide high performance in these applications.
Long-Term Readability
Automotive labels must remain legible throughout the vehicle's lifespan. Barcodes, serial numbers, and technical information should not fade or be damaged over time.
Automation and Barcode Compatibility
In modern automotive production lines, part tracking is done using barcode and QR code systems. Therefore, automotive labels need to have high print quality.
Automotive Labeling Materials
Polyester (PET) Automotive Labels
Polyester (PET) labels are one of the most widely used label materials in the automotive industry. Thanks to their high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and long-lasting adhesion performance, they can be used safely in automotive production processes.
Areas of Application
Engine and transmission parts
Warning labels under the hood
Vehicle information labels
Barcode and serial number labels
Vinyl (PVC) Cable Labels
Vinyl labels can be easily applied to cable surfaces thanks to their flexible structure. They provide long-lasting identification in electrical installations and cable bundles.
Areas of Application
Cable harnesses
Sensor cables
Electrical connections
Security Tags (VOID and Destructible)
Security labels are special labels used to detect tampering with a product. When removed, the label leaves a VOID trace or breaks apart, preventing its reuse.
Areas of Application
ECU modules
Electronic devices
Warranty labels
Polyimide (Kapton) High Temperature Labels
Polyimide labels are special label materials that can withstand very high temperatures. Used in electronic manufacturing processes, these labels retain their properties even during soldering and high-temperature operations.
Areas of Application
PCB boards
ECU modules
Sensor manufacturing
Electronic components
Polypropylene (PP) Labels
Polypropylene labels are preferred in certain applications in the automotive sector due to their flexible structure and economical cost. They offer a durable and practical solution for indoor applications.
Areas of Application
In-vehicle labels
Service and maintenance labels
Plastic surface applications
Tire Labels
Labels specifically developed for rubber surfaces have high adhesive strength. They are used for product tracking and identification in tire manufacturing processes.
Areas of Application
Vehicle tires
Tire production lines
Product tracking systems
Battery Labels (Chemical Resistant Labels)
Battery labels contain safety and usage warnings found on vehicle batteries. These labels must be resistant to acid vapors, chemicals, and external environmental conditions.
Areas of Application
Vehicle batteries
Materials Used
Acid-resistant polyester label
Liquid and Storage Warning Labels
Liquid and tank labels are used in vehicle maintenance to inform the user and ensure safety.
Areas of Application
Engine oil cap and reservoir
Brake fluid reservoir
Coolant tank
Windshield washer fluid reservoir
Hydraulic oil reservoirs
Fuel system warnings
Materials Used
Polyester (PET) label
